Am I allowed to have alcohol or glass containers on the beach?

Alcohol and glass containers are prohibited

Are dogs allowed on the beach?

Dogs are allowed on the beach anytime from mid-September through mid-May. From May 15 through September 15, dogs are only allowed on the beach before 9 am and after 5 pm. Dogs must be leashed at all times. There is a great dog park at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex for some off-leash play!

Are there lifeguards on duty at the beach?

Yes, there are 54 Lifeguard Towers along the 9 Mile stretch of beach and the city hires about 105 to cover the area from May 15 – September 15.

Where can I rent a bike?

Where can I rent beach wheelchairs?

Do you have Wifi / Wireless Internet?

Yes! All of our units have wifi, the password will be in your welcome binder located at the property.

Do you supply linens?

Yes, we provide all bed and bath linens, all beds made prior to arrival, and bath sets include; bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, and bath mats. A kitchen towel set is also provided.

Is smoking permitted in the properties?

VDBY properties are non-smoking. We encourage our guests who do smoke to do so on the street side of the property so as to not bother other guests and neighbors.

Reservation Questions

Can we check in early?/ Check out late?

We do offer Early Check-in (Check-in) at 2:00 pm and Late Check-out (Check-out) at 12:00 pm if our schedule allows. The fee will vary according to unit and owners requirements, in order to hire the extra staff to keep the same level of cleaning and quality in only 4 hours

Do you collect a security deposit?

Yes, the security deposit amount and terms will vary according to unit and owners requirements

If I book online, when is my reservation confirmed?

Your reservation is confirmed once we charge your CC or Account, which we will do once we receive either your online booking, your agreement to the terms and conditions, or the signed rental agreement.

What are the check-in and check-out times and days?

Check-in is at 3:00 pm, and check-out is no later than 10:00 am. You may check-in and out on any day you’d like. We take pride in our care and cleaning of our units, when one guest leaves at 10 am we have 6 hours until the next guest arrives at 3 pm to clean the entire property including washing windows, outside balcony areas, and mopping internal walking areas, and so much more. It takes a team of people and tight scheduling in order to get the place clean and inspected to our high standard for our next guest. A vacation rental is not the same as a hotel, all of our units are unique with large living areas indoors and outdoors that takes more time to clean, and guests have bookings for a specific unit, meaning we cannot just move a guest to a unit that is clean and ready upon arrival like a hotel can. Due to these constraints, the check-in/out times are more restrictive and fees are generally higher than hotel fees.

What are the check-out procedures?/ Do I have to clean?

  1. Leave beds unmade (no need to start a load, we wash remotely)
  2. Load the dishwasher and start with the dishwashing soap provided
  3. Remove trash from the property and make sure placed in provided trash containers, chutes, and/or dumpsters.
  4. Collect all of your personal items. Management is not responsible for any items left behind at the properties. Items found can be returned for $25 + shipping Have a safe trip!

What are your business hours?

Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Saturday (In-Season) 8am-6pm

Saturday (Off-Season) 9am-12pm

Sunday- CLOSED

What if I am arriving after check-in hours?

If you plan to arrive after hours and you have your arrival instructions, feel free to enter the property as we offer remote check-in only.

What is your cancellation policy?

All requests to cancel a reservation must be made in the form of a signed letter or email.

  • a) Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel between 30 and 60 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund.
  • b) The Owner/Property Manager must be notified if the Guest is arriving later than check-in day, or the reservation may be canceled. If the reservation is canceled, all monies received will be forfeited if the Property is not re-rented.
  • c) There will be no refunds by the Owner for inclement weather, including hurricanes or forced evacuations, or any reason beyond the control of the Owner. This includes any unforeseen maintenance issues.

What other fees are there besides the rent?

Along with the rental fees, we also collect a management fee (which includes departure cleaning, linens, and starter of paper products) and a tax. 

When are payments due?/What payment methods do you accept?

Payments are due in full 60 days, prior to arrival. If you book with us outside of 60 days from your arrival date, we collect a % of the rent. 60 days prior to your arrival date, we then collect the remaining balance. If your booking is within 60 days of your arrival date, we collect the full balance. Payment Methods We accept Credit Cards from Visa, and MasterCard (there is a 4% transaction fee added for credit card payments, as well as Checks, or payment apps; ie; ZELLE, VENMO, and CASH APP.

Where do I pick up my keys?

All of our properties have codes to enter a property and/or a lock box to retrieve keys.  Arrival Instructions are sent via text one week prior to arrival.
